Menu Plan Monday: 10/19 – 10/25
My week was beastly busy. I’m still not recovered and its Sunday night! Let’s just say that I didn’t stick well to plan last week and leave it at that. =0Â
Â
Â
Monday:Â Â Quick Crescent Taco Bake, Black Beans & Corn Salad, Green Salad
Tuesday:Â Coq Au Vin-Guine from Brian Boitano for the Food Network Chef Cooking Challenge, steamed Carrots, Garlic Bread (whole wheat), Salad
Wednesday: Italian Roast Chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans
Thursday:Â Â Marinated (indoor) Grilled Steak, roasted cauliflower, pierogis
Friday: Fall Fun Night at School (Mini Subs, Fruit, Milk, pre-ordered)
Saturday: Honey-Jalapeno Chicken and Sesame Soba Noodles, edamame
Sunday:Â Creamy Shrimp Chowder, Rolls
Â
For breakfasts we always have oatmeal, cold cereal, scrambled eggs, toast, freezer muffins, yogurt, cottage cheese and fruits to choose from.  I also keep us stocked with lunch meats, cheeses, etc for bentos.   My lunches this week will be leftovers and a pot of soup. Probably this recipe  but with sausages; I have ended up with an extra pack of them. Even when not specifically listed, I usually have a mixed greens salad and fruit available for dinner.

Your menu plan sounds delish! And I have been admiring your bento’s, My daughter is lucky if I cover all food groups in her lunchbox! You do it with such panache!
Marinated steak sounds so delicious right now. And the rest of your menu looks great as well, I’m definitely going to have to try out some of those recipes!
Sounds like a tasty week! I bookmarked the chicken and soba noodles. YUM!
Your bentos are so creative. I’m bookmarking your site to get some inspiration for lunches around here. It is always so boring!
Last night I did the Bacon cheeseburger Wellingtons a little differently. Instead of cooking a hamburger patty and wrapping it in the crescent roll, I chopped the beef up and added all the ingredients (I was out of bacon, but would have chopped that up, too). Then I put the mixture on the crescent roll, topped with cheese and sealed it in! I used 2 triangle crescents to make a rectangle instead of using 4 like the recipe says. Honestly, they were so big with a patty and 4 crescent rolls that we couldn’t eat the whole thing. Last nights version worked out great!
@Candi: That sounds like a good change! I’ve been keeping a list of all the recipes that I think sound good from other MPM posts, and this one will definitely make an appearance in the next week or two!
